DIY Train Party

DIY Train Party

For Eamon’s Third Birthday Party he requested a train party so after a thorough Pinterest search we decided to use some simple homemade signs to transform the wooden shelter we rented into a little train station.

Jordan printed most of the lettering but I also bought a pack of pre-done letters at Target in the scrapbooking section for the Birthday Crossing signs and the All Aboard bunting.

The Traffic Signs were free printables which I glued to poster board for extra stability.

Instead of goodie bags each child received a conductors hat. Which we clipped to twine under the arrivals sign.

We had a fruit platter and little red and white boxes filled with popcorn for the kids to munch on while we were waiting on the pizza.

We tried to stick balloons into hay bales under the departures sign for the kids to take on their way out but, while it looked cute, it was really windy and was a bit of a fail.

Overall the party was a huge success. Eamon is still talking about his Train Party and we got to know some of his classmates and their families.

A huge thank you to Aunt Lydia for coming early to help with all of the signs and Eamon’s Oma for helping with the set up!
